Considering the chain of recent events, it is possible to state the termination of the activities of the Visegrád Group in its original format, primarily a political association of four Eastern European countries. Wojciech Przybylski, editor-in-chief of Visegrád Insight and head of the ResPublica Foundation in Warsaw, answers whether this is the case, and what future the Visegrád Four can expect.

Primarily, the Visegrád Group will operate in an abbreviated (non-political) format, focusing on civil society, youth/research, and people-to-people. Business, infrastructure, and energy projects (along the north-south) will continue to unite not only the V4 countries but even more. Since it is impossible to completely ignore politics, the principle of neighborhood and EU enlargement will act as a unifying factor in the group’s foreign policy.
