The year of Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine changed the world’s attitude towards our country. Humanity discovered Ukraine as a developed European state. Pavel Havlíček, Research Fellow at the Research Centre of the Association for International Affairs of the Czech Republic shared with Newssky how the attitude towards Ukraine, the EU, NATO, and Russia has changed.

I think the war has really changed everything in Czechia and the wider CEE region.

In Ukraine, both the government and the society have done everything possible to help Ukraine to win the war.

On the other hand, with Russia, the war has brought the last nail to the coffin of bilateral relations.

Finally, in both the EU and NATO we have seen new leadership and energy to pursue a more active course and more robust investment in both alliances and collective defence.
