Why Freken Trump sent Carlson to Moscow

Exclusive. There is no official announcement that Vladimir Putin will give an interview to Tucker Carlson yet, but with a probability close to 100% it will happen.

Tucker Carlson

This is indicated by the coverage of Carlson's visit to Moscow in the official and not so official Russian mass media. It raises Carlson's visit to the level, if not of a state visit by the US president, then at least to an unofficial visit of a US presidential candidate.

Both pro-Kremlin politicians and the conditional opposition to the Kremlin demonstrate a touching unity in relation to Carlson. They see in him Deputy Trump and they cherish the common hope that the victorious Trump "within a day", as he promises, will destroy the Ukrainian crisis. Moreover, it would be harmless to Russia: so that the territories would be kept, and reparations would not be paid, and cases of Russian war crimes would not be heard at the international level, and sanctions would be lifted, even if not immediately, but at least they would begin to process This is exactly the outcome that would suit both Putin's supporters and his Russian opponents, since, as is known, all Russian liberalism invariably ends with the Ukrainian issue.

If there is an interview, it will be addressed primarily to a Western audience. For stupid a simplified and adapted version will be mounted for the Russian audience. The format is also predictable: "Carlson and Putin without ties", in a suitable entourage: bathyscaphe, amphorae, the Crimean "Massandra", and against this background extensive discussions about "Ukrainian Nazism". A few short videos to speed things up - and the main interview for February 24.02, for the two-year anniversary of "SVO".

Passionate attitude Russian public (actually - the Katsap cattle, since no "Russian society", neither around the Kremlin power, nor in the technical opposition to it exists at all, and cannot exist in principle) transparently and clearly. The desire to be recognized by the West as a full-fledged part of it, but not having changed in accordance with the Western rules of the game, but having taught the West to perceive as due Katsapian brutality and eternal stench - the Great Russian Dream, the eternal plot of Russian history and Russian culture.

The details vary: yes, the liberals would like to see the West in the role of Sergeant Hartman from the "All-Metal Shell", taming the Russian cattle, and making it easier for them, the good Russians, to have a safe existence at the expense of ego, cattle, and money. Conservatives, on the other hand, insist on the attention shown by the West to any Katsap atrocities, idiosyncrasies and whims. But both of them desperately want to have Ronald Reagan and Clint Eastwood as friends, but Reagan is no longer there, and Eastwood is old and distant (and not of those looks).

But there is Trump and Carlson, and they even seem to be better in some ways, and closer to Russia. In any case, they look like guys with whom it is possible to negotiate the return of pure Russian public to Western Sodom, whom the Katsap propagandists like to accuse sent their families there for permanent residence, and working in Russia, if possible, on a shift basis.

The dream is understandable - but, alas, both Kremlin and non-Kremlin dreamers are in for a cruel setback. Their main problem is that what is happening in Ukraine is already perceived in the USA as a victorious (for the USA) end of the war.

For two years, the White House solved the problem of War Encapsulating - keeping the war in the status of a regional one, without expanding into the World War. And this task regarding Katsapstan is solved: it is firmly involved in a positional war in the east of Ukraine. The task of giving Ukraine enough weapons for a military victory over Katsapstan is not set by Washington in principle, nor by any of the political forces competing in the United States.

This, of course, is tragic for Ukraine, but neither its fate nor the fate of Europe, the USA, by and large, is of no interest. The task of the US is to destroy the Russian economy so much that it turns Russia from a potential ally of China into a territory of destruction and loss of control by Moscow. China, if it wishes, can invest in this territory, digesting it piece by piece, and, inevitably, suffering from indigestion. It is clear that such a desire will certainly arise in Beijing: mastering Russia's corpse will open the way for the PRC to get out of the current economic deadlock, from which it is now trying to get out by militarizing the economy.

But the PRC will not be able to master this fat corpse on its own. Beijing will have to negotiate with the US on investments and political support. Thus, having torn Russia apart in Ukraine and given its spoils to be devoured by China, which acts as a global scavenger - which will also inevitably stumble upon them, the USA will get a chance to turn China onto a course of gradual liberalization, forcing it to abandon Xi's neo-Maoist plan.

Of course, these are very long, decades-long processes, and they can go very differently in details and episodes. In addition, at some stage, Moscow may even have the illusion of victory over Ukraine - but it will only be an illusion. She herself is not in a position to win such a victory, and no one will give it to her.

At the present time, the topic of Ukraine and the Ukrainian war has become a bargaining chip in intra-American political games, and all the players, by and large, do not care about both Ukraine and Russia. Paraphrasing the well-known phrase said by Sami Know Kem, it can be argued that Do Ukrainians/Russians live in abundance or die of hunger? interests both the top of the Republicans and the top of the Democrats only in terms of improving the chances of their candidate winning the November elections. The Great Russian Dream of recognition of the Katsapsky "tozhelite" as equals in the West will in any case remain unrealized. The Katsapstan Federation got its last chance for such recognition in the ruins of the USSR, and it happily missed it. New chances can be given only to its parts during the further dismantling of this monster.

However, this general course does not exclude the small joys of life that individual players receive. There is no doubt that Carlson will make good money on Putin's PR - well, he will not be the first in this. Herbert Wells, who carefully revealed to the world "Lenin with a human face" and Bernard Shaw, who contracted to help the Bolsheviks hide the Holodomor in Ukraine from the world, earned at least an order of magnitude more from this, moreover, with eternal values - gold and diamonds. But this did not save the USSR from the subsequent series of shameful collapses, and did not bring it closer to the West. And even at the Yalta Conference, giving Stalin half of Europe into slavery, the USA and Great Britain in the person of Churchill and Roosevelt did not for a minute consider the USSR in the person of Stalin as their equal.
