Apple-pear tree

Oh, this is a special tree! And this circumstance is shaped not only by its aesthetic quality.

A few years ago we found it in a state of fantastic flowering. It was a continuous carpet. From the outside, everything resembled an apple blossom. But we had an example under the window: apple blossoms are always among green leaves. And here the leaves were not visible and close. So we decided that it was a pear. And so it entered our everyday conversation: "Let's go for a walk past our pear tree."

The summer passed, and in the fall I was ashamed to discover that there were apple fruits on the branches. But my shame did not have time to become dominant, because the apples turned out to be "paradise". A wave of memories engulfed me: in childhood, "paradise" apples were absent in our backyard gardens. Therefore, when one of my friends had them in their pockets, it was a matter of special pride for the owner, recognized by the society.

And here in front of me stood a whole tree with the cherished fruits of childhood! The inextricable, awkward grip of the past hugged me to itself. I told Olia about this discovery and explained my own emotion.

We upgraded our household glossary quite quickly. Now our walks take place past the "pear-apple tree". We decided not to get rid of the erroneous use of the definition "pear" for our beautiful apple tree in order to preserve the historicity of the process of getting to know her.

For several years in a row, the tree did not show much blossom. Maybe we did not come at the right time. But I think that the weather conditions had an effect: snow fell during the flowering period, because the fruits could not be seen later in the fall: what did bloom, did not set, because there was no frost due to the cold.

But today, it was the buzzing of bees that caught my attention from afar.
I raised my head. There was something to look at: the pear-apple tree was a continuous blooming carpet of blossoms, although a few days before we had visited and everything was covered in green leaves.

Well, we are waiting for the harvest! The bees are promising.
