The UK and Norway have announced a joint £450 million ($580 million) aid package, financed from existing funds, to be used for the “rapid” delivery of attack drones, as well as radar systems and anti-tank mines.
Acting German Defense Minister Boris Pistorius separately announced the delivery of 300 additional reconnaissance drones, four IRIS-T air defense systems, including 300 missiles, 30 Patriot missiles, tanks, and ammunition.
All of this will be financed from an additional fund of €11 billion ($12,4 billion), which will be available until 2029. The types of drones that will be supplied as part of British support will be purchased from suppliers in the UK and Ukraine.
The British Ministry of Defense claims that these drones are responsible for 60-70% of the damage caused to Russian equipment. The aid package will also include funding for the repair and maintenance of equipment and equipment.
Recall that the Danish government recently announced a new 25th package of military aid to Ukraine worth 6,7 billion Danish kroner (or €871 million), which will be transferred between 2025 and 2027.
