The Center for Combating Fakes started working in Ukraine

The Center for Strategic Communications and Information Security became operational in Ukraine. He will fight with fakes in the Ukrainian information environment.

As he writes armyinform.com.ua, said the Minister of Culture and Information Policy Oleksandr Tkachenko in his Telegram channel.

According to the minister, the center will fight disinformation, quickly respond to fakes, and will also promote Ukrainian narratives. The center will operate under the Ministry of Culture and cooperate with the Center for countering disinformation under the NSDC.

— The work of the center has primarily an educational function: debunking fakes in the Ukrainian information space, — the minister wrote.

The goal will be achieved by:

– strategic communications, including the development of counter-narratives, conducting information campaigns, including Ukrainian narratives in the government's daily communication;

– creation of an online resource that will actively respond to information attacks;

- regular notification of hybrid aggression by Russia at the international level, joint development of mechanisms to counter disinformation with international partners.

The Center also plans to work on increasing the level of critical thinking of Ukrainians so that they can distinguish real facts from invented provocations by the Russian Federation.
