In the Russian Federation, the BBC, Radio Liberty and Medusa are being investigated for drug propaganda
14.02.2020Vasyl Pyskarev, head of the Russian State Duma commission investigating foreign interference in the internal affairs of the Russian Federation, believes that these three mass media are "conducting activities to legalize drug use" in Russia.

The Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia checks the materials of the BBC, Radio Liberty and Meduza for drug propaganda and involvement in the illegal circulation of prohibited substances. This was reported by the head of the anti-narcotics department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation, Andrey Khrapov, writes "Interfax" on February 13.
The agency noted that earlier the head of the Russian State Duma commission investigating the facts of foreign interference in the internal affairs of the Russian Federation, Vasyl Pyskarev, named these three mass media among foreign organizations that "carry out activities to legalize drug use" in Russia.
"About 10 NGOs (non-governmental organizations - "GORDON"), recognized as undesirable in the Russian Federation, are conducting activities to legalize drug use from abroad," Pyskarev said.
Among these organizations, he named the National Fund for the Support of Democracy, the International Republican Institute, the National Democratic Institute, the Atlantic Council, the Open Society Foundation (all the USA), Open Russia (England), and Man in Trouble (Czech Republic).
This list also includes the three largest media holdings - "Meduza" (Latvia), BBC (Great Britain), "Radio Liberty" (USA), Pyskarev noted. He considered the activities of these organizations inadmissible, since, according to him, they lead to mass riots in order to fight for the legalization of drugs, publish materials on ways to avoid responsibility for the legalization of drugs, and also promote the treatment of drug addiction with methadone.
