Elections in the Russian Federation. Why are they important to us?

The upcoming presidential election of the Russian Federation is, most likely, the formation of a new system of governance, which we can safely call absolutism, пишет expert from the Center for the Study of Russia and the Occupied Territories, Vadym Denysenko, for "DS".

Russian President Vladimir Putin

Speaking about Putin's March elections, we focus only on two aspects: that Putin is winning (and this is not interesting) and that Putin needs to take at least one populated place for the election (for now, in his plans, it is Avdeevka ).

In fact, this approach is a huge simplification of everything that is happening now in the Russian political system.

Let's start with "what are these elections about?". And the answer here goes far beyond simply throwing in ballots and bringing the result to "more than 80%." These are elections about the formation of a new system of governance, which we can safely call absolutism. After Prigozhin's march, Putin suddenly realized that there was not even a hint of collusion among the elites. And he also realized that he didn't need to play with such a condition as the love of the people anymore. The people, as it turned out, will not go anywhere anyway, because they have neither an ideological alternative nor any competitor for Putin himself. And therefore, in the triangle "love - contract - fear", Putin boldly pushed love to the back burner and put fear on the back burner. At the same time, the people agreed to the creation of the Iron Curtain and the transition to the Soviet system of population control, but without the creation of the Gulag (such a repressive machine is simply economically unprofitable in the current conditions, and therefore it will not be reproduced). In general, the new public contract (interim) will provide for full control of the state over the population (including a reference to the front) in exchange for the preservation of "greatness" and the maintenance of a minimum set of necessary economic benefits (it is necessary to suffer in exchange for the preservation of the status of a large country and not a severe deterioration life).

But this is not the most important thing. The most important thing is that with these elections, Putin completely nullifies all previous agreements with the elites. The elites understand this, but they are hostages of fear and the system they created. This does not mean that heads will fly immediately after the elections. But this means that every high-ranking player knows: the previously working system of balances and balances no longer works. And what this new system will be is still unknown.

With a high degree of probability, we can say that the author of this future system, which can be considered the system of the late Putin — the transit to the post-Putin era, is Sergey Kyryenko, who would very much like to become a gray cardinal within the framework of this system. And, by the way, he takes as a basis not the model of the USSR, but the modern model of the People's Republic of China (and here the Russians are not ready to come up with anything new), but at the same time he makes it as primitive as possible.

In a word, if briefly somewhere yes. A more detailed analysis will be in a month. In January, I want to make a large and detailed forecast "Russia-2024" together with "Business Capital".

And for all those who will now start writing in the comments: "And what's in it for us?", I recommend looking at the previous post with an analysis of Russia-China relations, where it is clearly proven that our main myth about the capture of Siberia by the Chinese is a myth.
