The Lithuanian government will allocate almost €32 million for the education of Ukrainians
10.02.2025 0 By Writer.NSThe Lithuanian government has decided to allocate almost 2025 million euros in 32 for the education of Ukrainians who came to the country because of the war, local media report. radiosvoboda.org.

It is known that the Ministry of Education, Science and Sports of Lithuania has asked the government to allocate 4,2 million euros to compensate for tuition fees at higher educational institutions of Ukrainians who arrived because of the war, and to pay them scholarships.
The ministry also requested the allocation of 28,7 million euros, which will be used to educate Ukrainian children in preschool, pre-school and general education programs in municipal and non-state schools.
The Ministry of Finance, which submitted a draft resolution to the government, reduced the amount of funds allocated for training. The Cabinet of Ministers approved the proposal.
The above-mentioned funds are intended for Ukrainians who entered higher education institutions in Lithuania in 2022 and 2023 and continue their studies in the current year.
