The Ukrainian military has developed a functional mobile shelter "Shield"

Ukrainian servicemen of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and engineers have developed the project of modular mobile shelters "Shield", he writes liga.net.

The design of the shelters of the project has an aesthetic streamlined shape. This form is the most effective for reducing the impact of the blast wave and the load from the fragments of ammunition and parts of building structures.

Shelters can be placed above ground, semi-buried and completely buried in the soil. The basic modular unit can accommodate up to 60 people. Such a shelter can be quickly erected and dismantled.

In particular, the modular shelter can be placed near private houses or high-rise buildings.

A partial or full autonomous life support system can be installed in the storage. It can also be used as a space for a mini cafe or shop.

According to the developers, the shelters have passed successful field tests. Doctor of Technical Sciences, Head of the Department of Reinforced Concrete Structures of the Odesa State Academy of Construction and Architecture Yevgeny Klymenko and a team of specialists joined the project.
