As Mosqitter explained, the partnership will help bring Ukrainian technology to Latin America. Thus, the Brazilian company Marangoni will produce devices using Ukrainian technology and sell them under the Mosqitter brand.
Marangoni will also handle distribution and sales, company representatives explained to AIN.UA. Mosqitter will supply the control units and system software for the Brazilian production. In addition, the team will help and support the process of establishing and adjusting the production process, development and positioning of the Mosqitter brand in Brazil.
As it became known, for the first years of cooperation between Mosqitter and Marangoni, the production of several thousand units is planned, with a subsequent increase in production volumes. At the same time, the company did not name the exact volume of device production.
What is Mosqitter?
The Mosqitter system is able to combat the problem without harming the environment and using chemicals:
“The basic idea is to lure and catch, but not kill. We decided to play on the instincts of mosquitoes. Therefore, our system mimics human breathing and heat, the wavelengths emitted by the body, and the scent created by our skin. Our task is to gather those mosquitoes that are planning a reproductive cycle in a specific area at the very beginning of the activity in order to stop it. And at the same time, not to affect the natural balance, for example, near the lake, where they are part of the ecosystem and are necessary as food for larger animals," said Anastasia Romanova, CEO and founder of Mosqitter, in an interview with AIN.Business.
The partners explained the expediency of using Ukrainian technology by the fact that since the beginning of 2023, numerous outbreaks of diseases transmitted by mosquitoes have been observed in Brazil. Among them, including, 160 cases of dengue fever, which is 46% more than last year.
“This new partnership is a big step forward for our team at Mosqitter to make the environment cleaner, healthier and greener. Brazil will be our third production site under the Mosqitter license program, along with Ukraine and India," Anastasia added.
Now the company focuses on the American market, actively works with partners in the Brazilian, Indian and Italian markets, as well as already has one foot in the Canadian market. The system costs $1200, the price may vary slightly depending on the country.
