For the first time in 20 years, Ukraine produced more than 1 billion cubic meters of gas per year from new wells
09.01.2024 0 By Writer.NSUkrgazvydobuvannya produced more than 1 billion cubic meters of gas from new wells commissioned in 2023. This was reported by the press service of the Naftogaz Group, writes liga.net.

This is the best result of annual production from new wells since 2002, Naftogaz clarifies.
In total, 2023 new wells were put into operation in 86. Of them, 24 have an initial flow rate of more than 100 cubic meters per day.
The most powerful well was launched in April 2023, its output reaches 580 cubic meters per day.
It was possible to increase production from new wells thanks to the application of new technical capabilities in old depleted deposits, the layers of which were previously unreachable, infrastructure modernization.
In 2022, Ukrgazvydobuvannya drilled 47 new wells.
- In November 2023, a gas well at a depleted field in the Carpathians produced a record flow rate for the region.
- On December 19, two more wells were opened with a yield of more than 200 cubic meters of gas per day.
- The state enterprise overtook Akhmetov's company in the ranking of mining industry revenues.
