Ukraine and the Czech Republic will jointly produce weapons and ammunition

Ukraine and the Czech Republic have prepared six projects for the joint production of weapons and ammunition, training aircraft and tank repair with the possibility of full production work on Ukrainian territory. This was stated by the President of the Czech Republic, Petr Pavel, reported the RBC-Ukraine with reference to the joint press conference with the presidents of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelenskyi, and Zuzana Chaputova, presidents of Slovakia.

"We have prepared six key projects for joint production on the basis of both Ukrainian and Czech companies. As for specific projects, it is the production of weapons, ammunition, repair of T-62 tanks, as well as the potential production of training aircraft," he said.

The President of the Czech Republic emphasized that the priority is the transfer of technologies and production, so that this production is partially or completely carried out on the territory of Ukraine.

"The end result will be used taking into account the technologies that are available in both countries," he said.

Pavel also emphasized that cooperation between the Czech Republic and Ukraine will continue to deepen not only in terms of military aid, but also in other forms, in particular, in the field of trade.

The President stressed that the Czech Republic is ready to offer Ukraine support, assistance and cooperation in the energy, economy, transport infrastructure and housing sectors. It will be directed to the Dnipro and Dnipropetrovsk regions as part of the recovery program.

"I am glad that we reached an agreement with Mr. Zelenskyi on these issues. We have reached an understanding that there must be cooperation and that we must move quickly towards its implementation... The restoration of Ukraine must begin now," the Czech president said.

Let us add that the Czech Republic will pay for training for 20-25 pilots from Ukraine. The country's government approved the proposal.
