The Defense Procurement Agency of Ukraine stated that the increase in production was made possible "thanks to the support of European partners" who invested in the country's defense-industrial base.
It is indicated that 85% of components for Bogdana are already produced in Ukraine, and by the end of the year it is planned to increase this figure to 95%.
“The need to develop our own weapons systems for military use is becoming increasingly important as donor equipment stocks run low and battlefield casualties increase,” the publication states.
According to an analysis by Army Technology, since Russia's large-scale invasion in February 2022 and by mid-2024, Ukraine has received over 800 artillery systems of various calibers (British AS90, German PzH2000, Swedish Archer, French CAESAR, and American M777).
