The USA is asking for $1 billion for participation in the Peace Council

Trump selects candidates for PeaceCo

But his decisions will still be approved by Trump, Bloomberg reports, who managed to familiarize himself with the draft charter of this organization.

The decision to invite states to the Council will be made by Trump personally - but all interested parties must make contributions in advance. Whether the fee will be returned in case of refusal is not reported (but there is a strong suspicion that it will not be).

Each country accepted by Trump into the Council will have one vote and can be a member of the Council for no more than three years. At the same time, all decisions of the Council are subject to approval by the chairman, whom Trump has already appointed himself.

The draft specifies that the limitation on the term of membership does not apply to states that will contribute more than $1 billion in cash (!) during the first year after the entry into force of the Constitution.

The Peace Council is described in the document as an international organization, the purpose of which is to promote stability, restore legal governance, and ensure stable peace in regions affected by conflicts or threatened by them. As Bloomberg notes, critics of the project fear that the initiative may be an attempt to create an alternative to the UN.

The first impression: Trump was greedy and invited too much, which will lead to the failure of the project. But, knowing Trump, one can assume that private bidding will soon follow with each of those who wish to join the "Council". In fact, everything is more complicated and interesting.

How the creation of the "Council of Peace" will develop is difficult to say today, but some assumptions are possible.

First of all, despite all the, at first glance, adventurousness of this idea, it should definitely not be underestimated. Our forecast: already in the near future - just in time for the mid-term elections in the USA - Trump will correct the project. Stating that the world's leading countries are in no hurry to buy themselves seats in the Council, he will expand its base, making it possible to admit not only states, but also transnational corporations. And this is already the second level of the game, more interesting.

It was precisely in order to get a reason to make such a turn that Trump came up with a contribution of $1 billion, combined with autonomy within the Council. He really wants to create an alternative to the UN, but not as a union of states, but by transferring the struggle for world influence to another level. To this end, Trump set the terms of entry, unacceptable for states, but suitable for corporations, especially if they are furnished with additional non-public agreements.

During the two years that Trump will still spend in the White House, the Council will be strengthened and integrated into the existing world structures. It is quite possible that a permanent representative of the state will appear in the UN, and a permanent representative of the UN in the Council.

Well, the most interesting games within the Council and around it will begin after Trump leaves: in 2028 - from the White House, and then from the post of the Chairman of the Council, he is not immortal, and this is also inevitable. In general, the World Council is more like a long-term project to dismantle state institutions in favor of strengthening TNCs. Here it is worth remembering that Trump was the ideologist of the second term Peter Thiel is a very interesting figure. It's just that, unlike Elon Musk, a drug addict and a slob, Thiel prefers not to shine in public, but to stay in the shadows.
