The USA introduced sanctions against "Unarmy"

The United States has imposed sanctions against more than 30 individuals and several dozen legal entities from Russia and other countries, writes currenttime.tv.

The list includes the companies of Alisher Usmanov from the USM holding — Metalloinvest, Megafon, Akkermann Cement, Lebedinsky GOK, OEMK named after Ugarova. The publication "Kommersant" was removed from sanctions by the USA with a separate license.

In addition to companies, individuals also fell under the restrictions. Among them are Deputy Prime Minister Marat Khusnullin, statesman Nikolay Kosov, as well as citizens of Switzerland, Hungary, Cyprus, Uzbekistan, and Russia associated with Usmanov and his companies.

In addition to them, the PMC "Patriot", the "Unarmia" movement, as well as international companies, which, according to the US, are involved in the supply of equipment that allows Russia to wage war with Ukraine, appeared on the list. 17 sea vessels under the Russian flag, which are connected to the State Transport Leasing Company, as well as the general director of this company, Yevgeny Dietrich, also fell under the sanctions.

Earlier, Great Britain imposed sanctions against Alisher Usmanov's USM holding. Restrictions against the USM holding were introduced, as indicated by the British government, because of the ego of the owner Alisher Usmanov, who, as noted in the message, "participates in obtaining benefits from the government of Russia or supports it", and also conducts business in strategic sectors for the Russian authorities economics: the extractive industry and the sphere of digital technologies.
