The USA imposed sanctions against 11 Russian banks, aluminum and Skolkovo

The United States expanded sanctions against Russia. The US Ministry of Trade tightens export control in relation to industrial sectors and "luxury items". Export restrictions, in particular, are introduced against Megafon and Skolkovo technopark, he writes rbc.ru.

In particular, the following Russian banks have come under American sanctions:

• "Moscow Credit Bank";
• "Bank Uralsib";
• "MTS Bank";
• "Bank Zenit" and its related companies;
• "Metallurgical Investment Bank" (Metalinvestbank);
• "SDM-Bank";
• "Lanta Bank";
• Levoberezhny Bank Novosibirsk;
• "Bank "Saint-Petersburg";
• Primorsky Bank "Primorye";
• Ural Bank of Reconstruction and Development (UBRIR).

In addition, the investment and management company SC Veles Capital and its related companies, the financial company CONFIDERI Pte Ltd, as well as 14 companies related, according to the US, to the Russian businessman Alexander Udodov were included in the sanctions list of the US Ministry of Finance.

On May 10, a 200-percent duty on aluminum and aluminum products from Russia will be introduced by a separate order of US President Joe Biden.

The new sanctions of the US Ministry of Trade include enterprises of the Russian defense industry, federal agencies, as well as a number of telecommunications and scientific companies, including:

• Obukhov plant of the Almaz Antey concern;
• Ural Optical and Mechanical Plant named after E.S. Yalamova;
• NGO named after S. A. Lavochkin;
• NPP "Sapphire";
• Russian Research Institute Elektrostandard;
• Ryazan plant of ceramic-metal devices;
• NPP "Digital Solutions";
• NPP "Topaz";
• Shipbuilding JSC;

In the statement of the US State Department, it is also reported about restrictions in relation to JSC "Operating Organization of the Zaporizhzhya Atomic Power Plant" (ZAES), United Grain Company (JSC "OZK"), the Main Computing Center of the General Staff of the Russian Armed Forces, the State Grain Operator (GUP "GZO") and a number of other legal entities.
