The USA introduced new anti-Russian sanctions

On Thursday, the US Treasury announced a list of new sanctions against the Russian Federation, which included several Russian companies and research institutions related to the naval technology sector. This is stated in the official message of the US Office of Foreign Assets Control, transmits Ukrinform.

The list includes, in particular, the Morinformsystem-Agat Concern, the Central Research Institute of Construction Materials named after Horynina, Akkumulyatornaya company "Rigel", Central Research Institute of Shipbuilding, NPO "Aurora", Central Research Institute "Elektropribor", JSC "Obukhovskoe", Company "Marine Navigation Systems", Institute of Oceanology named after Shirshova, Technopol Company.

US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken made a statement on Thursday explaining the introduction of new restrictions against the Russian Federation.

"After Russia's naval operations against Ukrainian ports, including those that supply the world's food and grain, the United States today imposes sanctions against Russian naval organizations," the head of the State Department emphasized.

He emphasized that the United States will continue to use all appropriate tools to deter Russian attacks on Ukraine.

"These measures regarding prosecution emphasize a simple message: the Kremlin must stop its brutal campaign against Ukraine," the head of American diplomacy emphasized.

As Ukrinform reported, last week the USA announced sanctions against dozens of Russian financial institutions, oligarch Vladimir Potanin, his network of organizations, and other persons connected with the Russian government.
