Jake Sullivan, the assistant to the US president for national security, said that the US authorities may "in the next week or two" announce measures against companies in Russia and other countries for circumventing anti-Russian Western sanctions. According to him, in the coming days, the attention of the United States will be focused on Russia's evasion of sanctions, he writes kommersant.ru.

"I think that in the next week or two we will make a statement, we will indicate the goals that try to ensure the circumvention of sanctions both in Russia and abroad," said Mr. Sullivan at a conference organized by the Economic Club of Washington (quoted by TASS). He emphasized that with a working economy "there are always tools that can be used." "We believe that we have taken serious measures. In the following days, attention will be focused on evasion of sanctions," he added.

In response to the full-scale invasion of Ukraine, Western countries and the United States imposed five packages of sanctions against Russia. They affected large Russian businessmen, banks, as well as shipbuilding, military-industrial, machine-building and transport companies.
