Slovenia handed over dozens of military equipment and a new batch of drones to Ukraine

As part of defense assistance, Slovenia handed Ukraine 26 armored combat vehicles (ACVs), 3 infantry fighting vehicles (IPVs) and a new batch of drones. It is reported RBC-Ukraine with reference to 24UR.

According to the Slovenian publication, during the pause in the provision of support packages from the US to Ukraine due to the discussion of bills in the Senate, and against the background of the "shell famine" in the Armed Forces, "Slovenia did not delay."

Thus, writes 24UR, their editors became aware "unofficially" that during this time the country sent 26 BBM, 3 BMP, as well as a new batch of BPlA to Ukraine.

"According to our information, Slovenian M-55S tanks, BVP M80A amphibious armored vehicles, Humvees and Yugoslav-made Zastava M55 anti-aircraft guns are also equipped with 'new' armored vehicles and drones," the publication says.

It is also reported that up to 35 drones have already been delivered to the Ukrainian side, as well as a new batch of drones. In addition, 20 12,7-millimeter BOVs, 6 3×20-millimeter BOVs, and an additional 3 BMPs were sent from Slovakia.

Reference: BOV is an armored combat vehicle. The equipment is suitable for all weather conditions, for driving on roads with a hard surface and on difficult terrain. Equipped with a machine gun and additional nets. It was used, in particular, during the riots and war in Slovenia, Croatia and during the riots in Kosovo. "Considering its size, Slovenia has provided Ukraine with enormous military, humanitarian and monetary aid. In addition to heavier weapons, it also supplied military aid in the form of assault rifles, ammunition and helmets," writes 24UR.

We should add that Slovenia recently joined the Czech initiative for joint purchases of large-caliber ammunition outside the European Union for Ukraine. Yes, Ljubljana allocated one million euros for this purpose, and such data was confirmed by the Ministry of Defense of the country.
