Star Wars Sith Stormtrooper to debut at SDCC, ahead of Rise of Skywalker

"Lucasfilm" presented a new design sith trooper, which will make its film debut in December's Rise of Skywalker, but next week will land on Comic Con International in San Diego, reports newsarama.

In full Disney style, a line of merchandise sith trooper should debut at SDCC this year. Described by the studio as “the next evolution of Imperial/First Order soldiers”, these Sith combine the classic design of stormtroopers with the equipment of the Imperial Kingsguard.

"They have a really unique aesthetic," says Lucasfilm archivist Madeline Burkert, "and there are some subtle connections to previous stormtrooper designs that I think fans will enjoy."

The Sith Stormtrooper will be one of nine different Star Wars costumes on display at Lucasfilm's SDCC booth #2913, including: Imperial Stormtrooper, TIE Pilot, Stormtrooper, Marksman, Biker, First Order Scout, First Order TIE Pilot, and Captain Phasma.
