Russia is trying to divert attention from the criminal in Ukraine with a questionable action: the Kremlin will attract "agents of influence" to it - RLI
19.04.2023The aggressor country Russia continues to commit cruel and cynical crimes against civilians of Ukraine, including against children. At the same time, the Kremlin is trying in every possible way to deny the guilt of the Russian Federation in crimes and even uses so-called "agents of influence" in Europe for this, writes obozrevatel.com.

In particular, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation intends to hold a propaganda press conference, which indicates a clear attempt to blur international attention to Russia's war crimes against Ukrainian children. This was reported by the Robert Lansing Institute for the Study of Global Threats and Democracy.
Moscow is trying to shift responsibility for crimes against children to a coalition of Western democrats. Researchers believe that Russian propagandists will actively cover the information about the death of children in armed conflicts in Iraq and Afghanistan with the blame on the USA. In addition, the Russian Federation will accuse the West of forcing thousands of Syrian children to become refugees.
One of the tasks pursued by Moscow is the falsification of facts, depicting the actions of Russian troops in Ukraine as a request to evacuate Ukrainian children allegedly to "ensure their safety and further reunification with loved ones."
It is noteworthy that Russia's request to justify the deportation of tens of thousands of Ukrainian children may be connected with the issuance of a warrant for the arrest of dictator Vladimir Putin by the International Criminal Court in The Hague. The aggressor country's sharp reaction to the court's decision was expressed in the desire to shift the blame to the West, which is a traditional practice of Russian propaganda.
The Russian Federation intends to use the so-called "agents of influence" in its propaganda campaign, which Russian intelligence has long used in its operations in the West. Among them is the personal propagandist of the war criminal and head of PMC "Wagner" Evgeny Prigozhin Myra Terad (Oksana Vovk). She positions herself as a human rights defender, but is also known for serving a prison term in the United States on charges of money laundering. At the same time, she avoided a more serious conviction for drug trafficking.
Other "agents of influence" include the Polish human rights activist Joanna Paszkiewicz, known for spreading numerous pro-Russian and anti-European narratives, and Iraq war veteran Daniel Bosworth, who has been living with his family in Russia for the past 10 years. By the way, in March 2022, he already took part in the Russian IPSO, when he openly supported Russia's invasion of Ukraine.
Also, the aggressor country can use the British blogger and ardent supporter of Bashar Assad's regime in Syria, Vanessa Byla, who is known for her anti-Semitic views. Since 2021, she has been living in Syria, in contact with the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation, Mikhail Bogdanov, who, in turn, is in close contact with Russian military intelligence.
Another propagandist who will justify the deportation of Ukrainian children to the Russian Federation will be the Dutch journalist Sonia van den Ende, who publishes messages about the futility of supporting Ukraine and justifying the invasion of Russia. The Russian Federation also used it in military intelligence operations to compromise the Joint Investigation Team investigating the crash of the MH17 plane.
Analysts of the Robert Lansing Institute for the Study of Global Threats and Democracy are confident that the propaganda event organized by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Russia will in no way affect the general international perception of Russia's war criminals against children in Ukraine. At the same time, this further compromises the "agents of influence" who cooperate with the Russians.
As a reminder, Daria Gerasimchuk, the President's Commissioner for Children's Rights and Child Rehabilitation, said that minor Ukrainians deported from temporarily occupied territories to Russia are subjected to physical and psychological violence. The reason for the "educational work" is the refusal to sing the words of the Russian national anthem and the mention that they are citizens of Ukraine.
Earlier it was reported that since the beginning of the full-scale war, the aggressor country Russia has abducted and deported 19 Ukrainian children from Ukraine. 514 minors were returned to their parents.
As reported by OBOZREVATEL, the European Commission together with Ukraine and Poland launched an initiative to return children abducted by Russia. They noted that the deportation of children is a war crime.
