The "Information Resistance" group continues to expose the fakes of propagandists from the Russian Federation that they spread last week. Read a fresh selection of disinformation "masterpieces" from the Russian Federation and our comments on them in this material.

Sputnik V and experimental friends of the Russian Federation

In December, the Russian Federation began to supply some of its "test friends" with a certain number of doses of its dangerous to health vaccine "Sputnik V". For example, Argentina, a country with a population of 45 million people, received 300 doses of the Russian vaccine. Serbia, a country with a population of about 5 million, also received 7 doses of Sputnik-V and ordered 1,8 million doses of the vaccine from Pfizer Biotech. But the situation with supplies to Belarus is much more interesting in the context of the supply of the Russian vaccine for export, while the Russians themselves lack it due to the lack of production capacity, notes military-political expert Alexander Kovalenko.

The fact is that it is still unclear which batch of which number of doses was sent to Belarus. Also, it is very telling that the President of Belarus, Alexander Lukashenko, refuses to administer the Sputnik-V vaccine, citing "skepticism".

But, in general, the example is quite indicative. After all, if in the case of Argentina it can be said that the use of the Russian vaccine will be extremely conditional, and in Serbia it is generally reduced to a minimum, at the level of clinical trials, then in Belarus it is not completely known to what extent this drug will be given to Belarusians.

Meanwhile, as recently as August of this year, Russian media outlets, mainly controlled by Alisher Usmanov (who provided media support to the so-called Belarusian opposition), reported that there was an agreement between Lukashenko and Putin about the Sputnik-V tests in Belarus. In fact, on Belarusians. And it seems that the process of the third phase of clinical trials of Sputnik-V has started. Both in Belarus and Argentina.

Growth of disinformation activity in the Russian Federation

Stanislav Zharin, the representative of the coordinating minister for special services of Poland, said that in 2020, the country recorded an increase in disinformation and propaganda activities of the Russian Federation.

"The actions of Russia, which has been carrying out systemic aggressive information attacks against Poland for many years, have intensified. Russian narratives directed against our country were spread by institutions and state entities, including high-level officials and mass media, which are under the control of the Kremlin and act in its interests," Zharyn noted.

According to him, propaganda materials were published in many languages: Russian, English, Polish, etc. Some of these operations were supported by hacker attacks promoting the Kremlin's theses.

The representative of the minister-coordinator for special services emphasized that Poland has been one of the main targets of Russia's information attacks for many years.

"Typical actions of the Kremlin against Poland's interests include: disrespecting Poland on the international stage, weakening Poland's relations with its neighbors, destabilizing military cooperation within NATO, increasing tensions between Poland and the United States, attacking energy policy, attempts to undermine the authority of the Polish army, indications that that Poland is imbued with "Russophobia", the perception of Poland as a country that is the cause of the crisis in relations between the West and Russia," said Zharyn.

According to him, this year Russian propaganda used not only typical narratives, but also the theme of the pandemic, in particular, in order to try to get out of international isolation. The Kremlin insisted that in light of the pandemic and in order to overcome the crisis, the West should cooperate closely with Russia on "normal" grounds.

"Neptune" for Indonesia and Russian propagandists

Last week it became known that Indonesia signed a memorandum of intent to purchase Ukrainian RK-360MC Neptune anti-ship systems. As soon as this happened, Russian propagandists immediately began to express their "expert opinion" about the agreement between Ukraine and Indonesia.

Russian "experts" did not call the Indonesian election. And loyalty to marginal suppliers, and corruption motives, and the dubious choice of a non-serial complex, etc. But the most important thing in these decals of bile is that the Russian champions of the domestic defense industry only showed their weakness, feeling the competition on the bridgehead, which is leaving from under their feet.

Fantasy around a quote by Gennady Moskal

Russian propaganda actively spread blatantly false reports that the former head of the Zakarpattia and Luhansk administrations, Gennady Moskal, allegedly "predicted the country's loss of six regions."

In fact, in his interview with the Apostrof TV channel, Gennady Moskal did not rule out the possibility of Russia attacking other regions of Ukraine, in addition to Donbass and Crimea. Moskal stressed in an interview that by means of aggression on Ukrainian territories, Russian President Vladimir Putin is increasing his approval rating among the citizens of Russia, notes the publication StopFake.

"What was Putin's rating based on? During the occupation of Crimea and aggression in the Donetsk and Luhansk regions, it grew to 86%. "Savior" from the Right Sector, from "Nazis", from "Banderovtsev", from "fascists" ... The rating has already passed "the savior of Russian cities" ... the "Novorossiya" project is incomplete, everyone thinks that it is (occupation of parts of Donbass and Crimea - ed. ) everything. The "Novorossiya" project included Kharkiv, Dnipropetrovsk, Odesa, Zaporizhzhia, Mykolaiv and Kherson regions. This is the "Novorossiya" project, the project (Putin's assistant, who oversaw the occupation of Crimea) Surkov and the project (Vice-Prime Minister of Russia, who oversaw the occupation of parts of Donbass) Kozak - with whom we are negotiating and about what. I'm really worried about the messages from the GRU and the General Staff that (Russian) troops are heading towards Krasnoperekopsk and Armyansk. This is a very alarming signal, because (Putin needs to) restore the rating — cut off even more (part of the territory of) Ukraine," Moskal commented on the possibility of Russia's attack on other Ukrainian regions (see video 00:20:40-00:22:29).

Thus, Russian propagandists used their typical tool — the banal ripping of a phrase out of context with subsequent "creative reinterpretation."
