The government of Germany announced the provision of another package of military aid to Ukraine, which, in particular, included missiles for the Patriot air defense system, writes focus.ua.

On August 24, the German government reported on the transfer of a new package of military aid to Ukraine. The relevant message is published on the German government's website.

"Germany provides support to Ukraine by supplying equipment and weapons, they come at the expense of supplies of the Federal Armed Forces and supplies of industry, which are financed at the expense of the funds of the federal government for building the security potential," the message says.

What Ukraine will get

The new aid package includes:

Patriot missiles (quantity unknown);
10 drone detection systems;
40 RQ-35 HEIDRUN reconnaissance drones;
16 Zetros trucks;
510 cartridges for firearms.

Germany also announced that it planned to transfer to Ukraine in the future:

90 drone detection systems;
42 Zetros trucks;
31 million cartridges for firearms.

"For security reasons, the federal government refrains from providing detailed information about the conditions and dates of transportation until the time of transfer," the German government said in a statement.

We will remind, on August 24, it was reported that Lithuania sent Ukraine a new batch of military aid worth 41 million euros before Independence Day. According to the Ministry of Defense of Lithuania, not only ammunition, but also NASAMS missile complexes will be transferred to Ukraine.

In addition, it is known that Norway will transfer missiles for IRIS-T air defense systems to Ukraine. According to the Norwegian government, air defense is critical to Ukraine's ability to protect both civilians and front-line infrastructure.
