IRIS-T missiles and Vector drones: Germany transferred military aid to Ukraine

The German government on Thursday, April 17, updated the list of military aid to Ukraine. It includes three Zuzana self-propelled guns, missiles for IRIS-T and ammunition. This was reported by RBC-Ukraine with reference to the German government.

The list indicates that Ukraine received six Bergerpanzer 2 armored recovery vehicles from Germany.

Four Kinetic Defence Vehicles were also transferred, an improved version of the new anti-drone system. Earlier, media reported that Ukraine would receive a configuration armed with a 134×7,62 mm M51D machine gun.

stock of parts for the BREM Bergerpanzer 2.

Aid to Ukraine from Germany

Recall that at the beginning of the year, we wrote that Germany was preparing new large packages of military assistance for Ukraine, which could be provided in the first half of 2025.

Discussions are also ongoing in Germany regarding the transfer of long-range Taurus missiles to Ukraine. In particular, future German Chancellor Friedrich Merz reiterated that he is ready to approve their transfer to Ukraine.
