"It is worth considering whether we can provide Ukraine with our L-159 aircraft," Pavel said in an interview with Czech Public Radio.
"As direct combat support aircraft, they can also significantly help Ukraine in a counteroffensive," he said.
According to the president, the decision to transfer, like any military equipment, must be approved by the government.
The L-159 is a Czech-made light multi-purpose attack aircraft designed for air support of ground troops, reconnaissance, and partly for the performance of combat missions in the air.
Pavel also reported on the agreed decision on two units of the "Kub" air defense system for Ukraine.
The day before, Dutch Prime Minister Mark Rutte said that negotiations on the possible transfer of F-16 fighter jets to Ukraine are ongoing, but no decision has been made yet.
