"The hottest part of the energy front in terms of the number of injuries today coincides with the military one - it is the eastern front-line regions: Donetsk, Luhansk, Kharkiv. […] Since September, 12 mass attacks were carried out on Ukrenergo facilities in the eastern region alone, during which 27 cruise missiles and drones were struck. All power plants in the region were fired upon and suffered varying degrees of damage," the company said in a statement.
Ukrenergo noted that the stability of energy supply in these regions, as one of the key priorities for preparing for the new heating season, is significantly complicated by constant enemy shelling.
The company also reported the following:
- every day more than 200 highly qualified repairmen of "Ukrenergo" work on the restoration of damaged infrastructure in the eastern region. All repair processes were accelerated without loss of quality;
- active work is underway to find new equipment and protect objects, for which international partners are also involved;
- clear plans have been developed to significantly increase the reliability and stability of energy supply in the region, backup schemes for the recovery of consumers have been worked out.
