The meeting took place as part of the Ministry of Defense's ongoing dialogue with technology companies and UAV manufacturers. The main goal is to increase the efficiency of defense procurement by improving transparency, competition, and speed of procedures.
"Defense procurement is not only about providing for the Armed Forces of Ukraine, but also a powerful driver for the development of the Ukrainian technology sector," Kanevsky emphasized.
The key task of the procurement vertical, according to Kanevsky, is to create a system that stimulates innovation and opens the market to new participants.
Among the priorities for 2025 is the unification of technical requirements for UAVs.
In addition, they discussed the implementation of a comprehensive approach to procurement. This concerns the purchase of not only equipment, but also related services: training, technical support, maintenance, and modernization.
