The median income of HR&R specialists in Ukraine is $1500. In which cities do echars and recruiters earn the least?

The professional club of HR and recruiters People First Club presented an annual study of the salaries of HR&R specialists, as well as how their experience and level of position affects the amount of income, writes dev.ua.

According to the study, the highest median income of HR and recruiters living in the USA and Canada is $3350, the lowest is in Ukraine ($1500) and Turkey ($1300).

Median income of HR&R specialists by city of Ukraine

Among HR&R specialists living in Ukraine, residents of Kyiv ($1800), Uzhgorod ($1600) and Lviv ($1500) have the highest median income. The smallest is respondents from Chernihiv and Ternopil ($900).

Average monthly rate

For women, the average monthly rate gradually increases from the age category of 18–24 years to 32–28 years. After that, growth mostly stops, with the 32-38 median the same as the 39-45 median ($1600).

But after 46+ years, the rate becomes lower than in the previous age category of 39–45 years, the median decreases slightly ($1550 compared to $1600).

For men, the upper level of the rate constantly increases from 18–24 years up to 39–45 years, and only after 46+ it decreases. At the same time, the median also increases in the category of 46+ years.

Median rate among all respondents: $1350.

The overall median for women is $1350 and the overall median for men is $1600.

Income by position level

The largest median difference is observed between Middle and Senior positions, $+700, and between Lead and Head, $+1000.

The amount from which senior specialists are ready to start naturally increases with each subsequent career step.

Income by experience

The amount that HR&R specialists are willing to start with grows very slowly as their experience increases. And for specialists with 15+ years of general work experience, this indicator even decreases. However, the median income steadily increases with the accumulation of general experience (not even necessarily in HR and recruiting).

The upper limit of the HR&R market increases very rapidly: almost every 2 years of experience — by $+500-600.

Respondents' income grows significantly faster when they accumulate specialized HR&R experience compared to general work experience.

The minimum salary for which HR&R is willing to work gradually increases until 7-8 years of experience, stabilizes at $1100, and then gradually decreases.

The first radical jump in income at the top of the market occurs between 1-2 and 3-4 years of experience in HR&R: the top 10% of specialists earn up to $+1000.
