"Summer can be very difficult (on the front in Ukraine - ed.), so support should be provided not later, but earlier. Lithuania intends to allocate an additional 20 million euros for the purchase of ammunition, as this is one of the things that Ukraine needs most now," said Sakaliene.
The publication recalled that in June last year, the country's Defense Council decided to allocate at least 0,25% of GDP per year for military assistance to Ukraine.
Since the beginning of the war, Lithuania has provided Ukraine with military assistance worth about 800 million euros. The total amount of Lithuania's long-term assistance to Ukraine has exceeded 1,5 billion euros.
