Lithuania allocated another €13 million for the reconstruction of Ukraine
10.10.2024 0 By Writer.NSThe Lithuanian government has approved the allocation of an additional 13 million euros to the Lithuanian Fund for Development Cooperation and Humanitarian Aid. These funds will be used to finance projects for the reconstruction of Ukraine. It is reported RBC-Ukraine with reference to the press service of the Lithuanian government.

Finance Minister Gintare Skajste emphasized that Lithuania continues to actively support Ukraine in the fields of education, energy and other important sectors. She also called on international partners to join these efforts to strengthen Ukrainians' faith in a safe and prosperous future.
Since the start of the war in 2022, Lithuania has already allocated 24 million euros through the Fund to projects for the reconstruction of Ukraine. Among them are the renovation of educational institutions in Borodyanka and Irpen, as well as the development of new initiatives, such as the "School of the Future" project and rehabilitation programs for war victims.
The total amount of military, financial and humanitarian aid provided by Lithuania to Ukraine since the beginning of the war reached almost 1,5 billion euros.
Aid to Ukraine from Lithuania
The Baltic states — Lithuania, Latvia and Estonia — continue to be among the most active partners of Ukraine, providing it with constant military support and promoting integration into the EU and NATO.

In addition, the Lithuanian company Ignitis Group contributed 4 million euros to the Energy Support Fund of Ukraine. These funds will be directed to the purchase of equipment for the creation of 120 MW of capacity, which will allow renewing the energy infrastructure of the country.
