Latvia is part of the 16-nation drone coalition, which also includes Great Britain, Australia, the Czech Republic, Denmark, France, Estonia, Italy, New Zealand, Canada, Lithuania, the Netherlands, Poland, Ukraine, Germany and Sweden.

Coalition member states are working to provide various types of drones, such as reconnaissance and strike drones, unmanned aerial vehicles controlled by artificial intelligence, and anti-drone technology. According to the country's Ministry of Defense, this year Latvia allocated 20 million euros to the drone coalition.
