The Chinese Party of America is going all in

Exclusive. Having quarreled with Trump, Elon Musk announced that he was creating a third party. He called it the "Party of America." There is nothing except the declared yet. At the moment, the American Federal Election Commission has not published any documents testifying to the registration of a new party - this is not required to start work (however, at the beginning of the registration process, Musk, let's say, put his Indian manager in charge).

It is known that federal registration makes sense if the party has opened branches in at least two-thirds of the states. Yes, even in a separate state, it makes sense to register something only if party structures have actually been built. The work is big and expensive, but there are two nuances.

First. The American electoral system, which, by the way, has its own peculiarities in each state, brought under the common roof of the US Constitution, does not clearly prohibit any number of parties participating in the presidential race. But it is quite deliberately designed in such a way that it can work stably only in a two-party mode. The appearance of a third party in the race always (and it happened more than once - you can recall the times of Theodore Roosevelt and Rose Perot) destabilizes the process and activates the system's defense mechanisms. Which gently but very effectively strangles the weakest of the three parties.

So, by the next presidential election in four years (midterm elections in two years are arranged a little differently, there are no such restrictions), there are only two left. Always Although, let's repeat, there are no clear prohibitions. The new party may be among the survivors, but only after knocking out one of their old parties from the first echelon of real contenders for the presidential seat. One does not need to be particularly perceptive to understand that Musk will attack Republicans in particular. Democrats are at least not his electoral field after November 2024. No chance there.

Second. The federal party of the first rank is so expensive and complicated that even the "richest person in the world" (it's not all that simple here either, but we won't get distracted) can't pull it off alone. Being, moreover, an egocentric sociopath, he will not take advantage of other sponsors who need their share in project management. There are very few sponsors who are truly interested in the creation of a third American party and who are able to tame Musk's ambitions without blowing the project to pieces. More precisely, there is only one - China and its investment, trade and industrial ecosystem. Not directly, of course, but through a proxy, but the essence of this does not change.

So the "party of America" will most likely be global-Chinese. And there is nothing surprising here: Musk, the businessman, in fact, is also very dependent on China, and he somehow puts up with it.
Increasingly obvious, creeping like dirt, the split of the Republicans into grassroots "magicians" and neo-Reaganists is still pushing the rebellious sponsor of the 2024 campaign and his torsid ego to the periphery. But after 16 months - if, of course, Ilona is not deported either to Canada or to South Africa - this irritation may cost the conservatives several critically important seats in both chambers.
