Wikipedia's cyber fighters, resisting Russian propaganda, invite you to join their team

In the summer of 2020, Kyiv businessmen and activists launched the "Vykypatrol" project, where Ukrainians from all over the world resist Russian propaganda.

How to сообщает Censor.NET, project participants are called cybersoldiers. They create articles about Ukrainian in the main Wikipedias of the world. The guys are introducing Ukrainian topics, meanings and agenda to the countries of the EU, the USA and even the Russian Federation. In particular, the problems of the war in the east of Ukraine, cyberwar, economic blockade, etc. are updated. A separate area of ​​work is the destruction of Russian bot farms in the Ukrainian Wikipedia.

According to the initiators of the project, the editors of the Ukrainian Wikipedia were pushed to join the new project by the weakness of Ukrainian diplomacy and Russia's hybrid military aggression. Ukrainians from all over the world began to actively support the Vykypatrul movement in the summer.

"The core of the team includes 20 volunteers who write and translate articles in their spare time. These are very different people from the USA, Canada, South America and Ukraine, who have already earned their bread and butter, and then there is time for the information war, and what is more important, they understand the importance of the fight against propaganda," the project said.

Now cyber-fighters not only work on military and political topics, but also popularize Ukrainian composers on the English-language Wikipedia, publishing articles in English about talented composers and musicians from Ukraine.

Over the past 2 months, Wikipatrol has created dozens of articles in the main Wikipedias of the world: English, German, Spanish, French, Portuguese, and Russian. In particular, these are articles about:
