Kazakhstan closed its trade representation in Russia
28.02.2023Kazakhstan decided to close its trade representation in Russia. It was opened in 2009. This is reported by RBC-Ukraine with reference to the resolution of the Government of Kazakhstan, reports rbc.ua.

"The Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan decrees: to liquidate the state establishment of the trade representation of the Republic of Kazakhstan in the Russian Federation of the Ministry of Trade and Integration of the Republic of Kazakhstan," the message says.
It is known that Russia and Kazakhstan concluded an agreement on the mutual opening of trade representatives in 1992. The representative office of Kazakhstan opened in Moscow in 2009, and there is another office in Kazan.
Earlier in Kazakhstan they announced plans to close the representative office. The country's Ministry of Industry and Trade explained its intention to optimize the work of republican state bodies.
As a reminder, the rules for the stay of foreigners, particularly Russians, have recently been tightened in Kazakhstan. Now citizens of the member countries of the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) can stay in the country for no more than 90 days during six months.
