Canada imposed sanctions against 14 Russians and 34 organizations from Russia
13.04.2023Canada imposes sanctions against 14 individuals and 34 legal entities from Russia. This was announced by Prime Minister Justin Trudeau at a press conference following a meeting with Prime Minister of Ukraine Denys Shmyhal, writes currenttime.tv.

Companies related to PMC "Wagner", including "Concord Management and Consulting" controlled by businessman Evgenia Prigozhina and "Volga-Dnepr" group of companies, came under sanctions. The list also includes nine enterprises related to the financial sector of Belarus. Among the individuals are the head of Tatarstan Rustam Mynnykhanov and deputy head of the Ministry of Defense Nikolay Pankov.
Trudeau also announced that Canada would send Ukraine 21 assault rifles, 38 machine guns and more than 2,4 million rounds of ammunition.
In February, Canada imposed sanctions against 129 individuals, including members of the government, military, representatives of the Military Industry, as well as 63 organizations from Russia.
Restrictions, in particular, were imposed against the head of the Soviet Fed, Valentina Matviyenko, the Deputy Prime Minister of the Government of the Russian Federation, Tatiana Golykova, the assistant to the President of the Russian Federation, Maksym Oreshkin, the wife and son of Dmitry Medvedev, the relatives of Sergey Kyriyenko, the daughter of Ramzan Kadyrov, Tabaryk, as well as ministers, deputies of the State Duma, an oligarch Alexei Mordashov and members of his family, businessmen God Nysanov and Andrey Melnychenko.
