Canada announced a new $29 million aid package for Ukraine

Canada has announced a new package of military aid for Ukraine worth almost $29 million, which, in particular, will include 40 sniper rifles. About this reported the RBC-Ukraine with reference to the Ministry of Defense of Canada.

Canadian Defense Minister Anita Anand announced a new military aid package for Ukraine at a Rammstein-style meeting.

The package includes a contribution of USD 28,9 million to the Trust Fund of the Comprehensive Assistance Package for Ukraine (CAP). In particular, Ukraine will receive 40 50 caliber sniper rifles and ammunition from Prairie Gun Works.

Also, Canada will hand over 16 radio stations to Ukraine to accompany the Leopard 2 tank from L3Harris Technologies.

"The donations and support announced by Canada today will help provide Ukraine with everything it needs to protect its sovereignty, independence and territorial integrity," Anand said.

It will be recalled that Canada delivered all eight Leopard 2 tanks to Poland, which are planned to be transferred to Ukraine.

In addition, Canada handed Ukraine three combat simulators on Leopard 2 tanks.
