Foreign companies are reclaiming the solid waste landfill in Khmelnytskyi for €12,4 million

According to the Deputy Mayor of Khmelnytskyi Mykola Vavryshchuk, the biggest difficulty of this tender was that when the full-scale war began, many European companies refused to work in Ukraine.

The waste landfill in Khmelnytskyi has exceeded its service life and needs urgent modernization. Taking into account modern challenges in the field of waste management and the need to bring the landfill into compliance with international standards, carrying out complex modernization works is a priority task.

This project is implemented within the framework of the EBRD and Khmelnytskyi City Council agreement. It provides for the reclamation of landfills and the creation of two new cards for household waste; installation of a new system for cleaning filtrate; construction of a waste processing plant.

Mesogeos SA operates in the fields of natural resource management and circular economy, wastewater treatment, solid waste management, network operation and maintenance services. Among the implemented projects are the construction of solid waste landfills in the region of Eastern Macedonia and Thrace, Elis (Greece) and Baalbek (Lebanon), modernization of treatment facilities in Heraklion and Argostoli (Greece).

Hayat Group has been implementing environmental projects since 2014. In particular, rehabilitation and reconstruction of the Balakhan solid waste landfill, the largest landfill in Europe, was carried out.
