The main terrorist administration of the Ministry of Defense of Russia

On November 5, Muscovites celebrate the day of military intelligence, on the eve of which Vladimir Putin usually comes to Valentina Gryzodubova street in the Khoroshevsky district of Moscow.

Dmytro Zolotukhin writes about this for ukrinform.ua.

It was there, from the Khoroshevsky highway, that the formidable Soviet GRU moved. The infamous "Aquarium", written about by Viktor Suvorov (real name Volodymyr Rizun), has been located there for more than 10 years. Now this institution is called the Main Directorate of the General Staff of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation. But everyone continues to call it "GRU", so during his next visit, Putin proposed to return the traditional name. Because Putin is definitely well-versed in the use of informational memes.

In his speech, Putin usually thanks the senior officers of the intelligence service for conducting poisoning operations (the Skripals), liquidation (Orhan Cemal and his colleagues) and political provocations.

In my estimation, it was the aggression against Ukraine and the change in the political structure of the world that followed it that turned the GRU into one of the most mentioned special services in the world. Despite the fact that its competitors inside Russia (SVR and FSB, National Guard, FSO, SledCom and others) are constantly trying to impersonate GRU officers and leak available data about their special operations.

The interception of leadership by military intelligence officers is very clearly visible on the example of the events in Donbas that took place at the beginning of the Russian aggression against Ukraine. Thus, the key persons in Donetsk were former employees of the Russian oligarch Konstantin Malafeev — Igor Strelkov (Ghirkin) and Oleksandr Borodai, who were oriented and relied on the forces and means of the FSB.

So, for example, the first vice-premier of the DPR was Volodymyr Antyufeev, and the head of the MGB of the DPR was Andriy Pinchuk, both of whom were freelancers of the FSB of the Russian Federation, who had previously worked in Transnistria, and later seized Crimea.

At the same time, the "Luhansk direction" of Russian aggression was conditionally handed over to the conglomerate of illegal armed formations of Yevgeny Prigozhin and the GRU.

With the passage of time and with the active support of Vladyslav Surkov, the Grushniks managed to push the FSB into the background. Moreover, this happened not only in the context of aggression against Ukraine. Already in 2016, after unlimited financial resources were opened to them under the protection of Surkov and Putin, they became the first violin in the interference in the American presidential elections.

TERRORIST FEDERATION

From 2015 to 2018, a wave of terrorist acts perpetrated by persons associated with the Islamic world swept through European cities.

On January 7, 2015, an attack took place in the editorial office of the far-right satirical magazine Charlie Hebdo, as a result of which 12 people died and 11 were injured. The reason for the attack was caricatures of the Prophet Muhammad.

Already in November 2015, there was a mass shooting in Paris, and the number of dead increased to 130 people. Almost simultaneously, several explosions took place near the Stade de France stadium and a shooting at the Bataclan concert hall.

In a month and a half, on New Year's Eve 2016, about 1000 sexual assaults on women were recorded in Cologne, Germany. The attacks allegedly took place in the form of flirting and morbid entertainment. The attackers were mostly identified as citizens of Syria, Iraq and other Middle Eastern countries.

Two and a half months later, in March 2016, terrorist acts were organized at the Brussels airport and at the Malbec metro station. 34 people died in both terrorist attacks and about 200 were injured in total.

On July 14, 2016, a 19-ton truck driven by a 31-year-old Muslim man plowed into a crowd of people on the waterfront in Nice, France. 86 people died and 308 were injured.

This sad list can be continued for a long time, mentioning the events in London, Strasbourg and other cities. However, from the point of view of the extremely cynical approaches of reflexive control that we consider in our publications, we are not interested in the victims, but in the decisions that European leaders should make after these sad events.

And the behavior of the Russian side is of particular interest. Just when, after the crash of the Malaysian Boeing MH17, the scales of international politics tilted in favor of Ukraine, and foreign countries began an active sanctions policy against the Kremlin, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov repeatedly emphasized that the European Union "continues to refuse to cooperate with Russia in the context of the fight against ISIS , despite terrorist attacks on the territory of their countries."

Paradoxically, one of the main Russian speakers of that time, the leader of Chechnya, Ramzan Kadyrov, organized a million rally in defense of the Prophet Muhammad. That is, in support of the terrorists who killed the journalists of Charlie Hebdo magazine.

Ironically, the French President Emmanuel Macron helped to return to the PACE platform the country, one of whose leading speakers very vividly and actively justified the killing of French citizens who defended the infamous freedom of speech to depict the prophet without clothes.

For the past couple of weeks, we have seen a repeat of history from four years ago. As in 2014, the Kremlin once again got up to its ears in a regional conflict on the perimeter of its regional interests in the geopolitical dimension. Putin supports Armenia, and his cronies, led by Margarita Simonyan, are already openly declaring that if Yerevan wants protection, it must give up its independence.

However, as in the case of Ukraine, the Kremlin faced military resistance that it did not expect. Turkey, which supports Azerbaijan, ensured the dominance of Azerbaijani military forces in the air. Therefore, the Kremlin is forced to create a new reality that somehow justifies or hides its next geopolitical failures. And at this very moment, Emmanuel Macron's crusade against the Islamists appears very conveniently on the horizon.

TERRORIST INTELLIGENCE DAY

In the last two weeks, a wave of terrorist attacks swept through the European Union again.

On October 16, 2020, a history teacher who showed caricatures of Muhammad to students was beheaded in the suburbs of Paris. French President Emmanuel Macron called the killing an "Islamist terrorist act." The attacker was shot dead. According to Actu17 and Le Parisien, the suspect of the crime is of Chechen origin, he was 18 years old. He maintained a Twitter account under the nickname @tchechene_270.

Ten days after the attack on a teacher in the suburbs of Paris, the area around the Eiffel Tower was evacuated due to the threat of an explosion. In Avignon, the police shot dead an attacker who rushed at passers-by shouting "Allah Akbar". Three people died in Nice as a result of attacks by a man with a knife. There have been several attacks with automatic weapons in Vienna, and the number of casualties is still being counted.

If the dear reader does not see historical analogies in these processes, which happened, literally, before your eyes in recent years, then how can such surges of violence in European cities be explained at the same moments when the Kremlin finds itself in a difficult position on the fronts of military conflicts, which information is served by GRU officers under the guise of journalists from "Moscow Komsomolets"? In this case, in Nagorno-Karabakh.

In order to obtain geopolitical tools to raise the stakes in its bloody game, the Kremlin, through the capabilities of the GRU of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation, inspires terrorist acts on the territory of European countries in order to intensify the anti-Islamic rhetoric of European leaders. Thereby easing his position in the confrontation with Turkey on the Armenian-Azerbaijani front.

And for this purpose, the Kremlin is very actively using the capabilities of the GRU, which is celebrating its next anniversary on this day.

After the Revolution of Dignity, Ukrainians and other peoples of the planet faced an unprecedented evolution of technologies for manipulation of social consciousness. The key to their success was the rapid development of mass communications — social networks, online media, as well as people's vulnerability to fake news. If we cannot evolve fast enough to understand how manipulative technologies work, we will inevitably fall prey to them. This cycle of publications on the "Ukrinform" platform is designed to show on specific cases how the techniques of reflexive control are used against Ukrainians.
