For the first time since the establishment of diplomatic relations between Saudi Arabia and Ukraine (30 years ago), the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Saudi Arabia visited Kyiv.

The office of the President of Ukraine published a video recording of his meeting with Prince Faisal bin Farhan Al Saud, which took place on Sunday.

Zelensky said that he expects the meeting "to give a new impetus to the further intensification of our mutually beneficial dialogue."

Saudi Arabia adheres to a neutral course in the conflict between Ukraine and Russia. Last year, she acted as a mediator in the exchange of prisoners, during which two American and five British citizens were released.

The head of the Office of the President of Ukraine Andriy Yermak called the meeting successful in "Telegram".

"Ukraine will receive real help from Saudi Arabia," he said. — The president's office signed two documents formalizing a $400 million aid package for Ukraine: $100 million in the form of humanitarian aid and $300 million in the form of oil products.

Referring to the use of Iranian drones by the Houthi forces in Yemen, Yermak said that Ukraine and Saudi Arabia have common challenges and experience in fighting them.

"Since last year, the same Iranian UAVs are at the disposal of Russian terrorists and attack the energy infrastructure of Ukraine," he stated.
