Epiphanius consecrated the Paskas for the front

On Wednesday, April 12, Metropolitan Epiphany, the Primate of the Orthodox Church of Ukraine, consecrated more than five thousand paskas for the Armed Forces in Mykhailo's Golden-Domed Cathedral. In total, more than 20 Easter loaves will be consecrated and handed over to the front, Suspilne reports. df.news.

"Thanks to the benefactors who help us, we send tens of thousands of paskas for our heroes and soldiers who are currently defending our territorial integrity. It is through bread, through paskas, that we convey our blessing and our love to them so that they feel that all of Ukraine is now in state of this struggle," said Metropolitan Epiphany.

The Commander of the United Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Lieutenant General Serhiy Naev, said that the belts will be handed over to the soldiers in the Northern Operational Zone and in other directions. "We understand that faith in the Lord God allows all our soldiers to pursue their most cherished dreams and overcome all the obstacles that are now on our way to our Victory with faith in God," said Naev.

According to him, five and a half thousand pastures were consecrated today. They were consecrated yesterday and will be consecrated tomorrow, who will then be sent to the front. "This must be done, the fighters believe in it, it raises the fighting spirit of the soldier on the front line. It's nice and lifts the mood on the front line," says serviceman Oleksandr, who has been serving for two years. He said that he also spent the past Easter period at the front.

Already consecrated paskas will be transferred to the Volyn, Kyiv, Chernihiv and Sumy directions. Those who will be sanctified tomorrow will be taken to the East and South, where soldiers from different groups perform tasks.

"Each military unit and I have military chaplains who take care of this issue. We have vehicles, logistical support, which will perform these tasks and deliver these belts to each regiment, to each defensive position, including "hot spots," Nayev added.
