German Finance Minister Christian Lindner visited Ukraine for the first time since the beginning of the full-scale Russian invasion, writes dw.com.

The Minister of Finance of Germany, the head of the "Free Democratic Party" of Germany Christian Lindner (Christian Lindner) arrived on the morning of Monday, August 14, on a visit to Kyiv, the press service of the German Ministry of Finance reports.

This is his first visit to Ukraine since the beginning of the full-scale Russian invasion of the country.

On the anniversary of the Russian Federation's full-scale war against Ukraine on February 24, Lindner said: "Politically, militarily, and financially, we will remain on the side of Ukraine until this war ends."

Germany provided direct financial aid to Ukraine in the amount of 1,5 billion euros. Germany also promised Ukraine support in restoring the destroyed infrastructure.
