Denmark will train Ukrainian pilots on the F-16 at its air base

Denmark is ready to train Ukrainian pilots on F-16 fighters, providing access to its air base. Acting Minister of Defense of Denmark Troels Lund Poulsen reported this in an interview with TV2. transmits Ukrinform.

According to him, Denmark together with the Netherlands has developed a plan to train Ukrainian servicemen on F-16 fighters. Troels Lund Poulsen said that Denmark is hoping for the support of other countries that will help it present a more concrete exercise plan.

"The plan developed jointly with the Netherlands provides for the training of Ukrainians on the F-16 at the Danish air force base Skrudstrup in Lower Jutland, where Danish fighters of this class are based," he said.

V. o. the Minister of Defense stated that the training of Ukrainian pilots is expected to begin after the summer vacation. At the same time, Poulsen did not specify how many pilots the country will be able to receive.

We will remind: Denmark, together with the USA, Britain and the Netherlands, announced the transfer to Ukraine of hundreds of air defense missiles and systems that will help protect Ukraine's infrastructure and support offensive actions.

The supply of air defense systems and shells to them has already begun, and the final weapons will be handed over in the coming weeks.
