Americans left Russians without Viagra

The manufacturer of the medicine to increase the potency of Viagra has suspended the supply of the drug to Russia. This was reported by the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Russia to the Interfax agency, writes svoboda.org.

The active active substance of "Viagra" is sildenafil. Preparations based on it are also produced by other companies, including eight Russian ones. Analogues of "Viagra" are widely available in pharmacies, the Ministry of Health of Russia reported. The agency also reminded that the medicine should be taken only as prescribed by a doctor.

According to the results of the three quarters of 2022, the volume of production of sildenafil-based drugs in Russia increased by 11%, and sales increased by 15%, Interfax notes.

• In response to Russia's invasion of Ukraine, global pharmaceutical companies announced the suspension of research in Russia and reduced investments in its market. At the same time, supplies of vital medicines to Russia continue.
