The Czech Republic is ready to supply ammunition to Ukraine every month until September, and currently has the necessary funds for this within the framework of the "Czech initiative" introduced at the beginning of Russia's full-scale invasion of Ukraine. This was stated by the head of the Czech Foreign Ministry, Jan Lipavsky, on March 3, before a meeting of foreign ministers of NATO member states, writes radiosvoboda.org.

"We were able to secure funding, thanks to which this initiative now has enough resources for monthly supplies of ammunition to Ukraine until September. This is thanks to contributions from Canada, Norway, the Netherlands and Denmark," Lipavsky said.

According to the Czech minister, this initiative reduces the effectiveness of Russian artillery by five times and helped change the ratio of the number of shells of Ukraine and Russia from 1:10 to 1:2.

The Czech Republic has been actively providing military and financial assistance to Ukraine since the first days of the full-scale war. According to Jan Lipavsky, in 2024 the Czech Republic supplied Ukraine with 1,5 million rounds of ammunition, a third of which were 155 and 152 mm caliber ammunition.
