They plan to spend $12,3 million on the construction of settlements. In two villages, as specified by the British government, houses will be built for more than 700 immigrants.
"During the last year, Putin continued to attack residential buildings and civil infrastructure, for which the Ukrainian people paid a high price. This new British-Polish partnership will help provide light, heat and homes to those most in need," said British Foreign Minister James Cleverly.
Poland and Great Britain consistently help Ukraine in the construction of temporary housing for displaced persons from war zones. Thus, on March 27, additional modular houses were opened in Lviv in the town of "Mariapolis", where 1500 refugees currently live.
The construction of modular houses for displaced persons in Lviv began in the spring of last year. After the Russian troops started massively shelling the objects of the energy infrastructure of Ukraine, it was decided to increase the number of such houses, as well as to carry out their modernization, since they were not suitable for the winter cold.
