Bayer started the construction of the second stage of the seed plant in Zhytomyr region with a $60 million investment

Oliver Hirlichs, CEO of "Bayer" LLC, said: "We are investing $60 million in our seed plant in the Zhytomyr region. We have completed the first stage of the plant, the cost of which is about $35 million. This includes, in particular, the installation of a dryer. The construction of the second phase, which includes the installation of additional equipment for the production of green energy, has already begun. 98% of the energy consumed by the plant will be green. There will be no natural gas. The equipment has already been ordered, is being manufactured and will be ready soon," he writes inventure.com.ua.

The company is also investing in the construction of two long-term storage warehouses, the first of which is already under construction.

Thanks to the second line of the plant, the capacity of receiving corn will be increased, Bayer is currently purchasing additional equipment.

Oliver Hirlichs added that now the company continues to export seeds and increases volumes. He noted that the company has no problems with areas for the production of seed corn, because it has established work with reliable partners.
