Albania canceled summer visa-free travel for Russians

Russian citizens will be required to obtain a visa to enter Albania during the summer season. About this reported the RBC-Ukraine with reference to the press service of the Embassy of Albania in Russia.

"The Embassy of the Republic of Albania in the Russian Federation informs that in accordance with the changes of April 20, 2023, the government decree cancels the visa-free regime for citizens of the Russian Federation (every year from May 1 to September 30)," the agency said in a statement.

It was clarified there that now Russians will need to issue visas in accordance with the purpose of the trip.

It is worth noting that since 2009, a visa-free regime was introduced for Russians in Albania for the summer period and the velvet season.

We will remind, earlier it became known that the authorities of Albania approved the extension of temporary protection for refugees from Ukraine until September 2023.
